DupermanDave
How does one remove the rear wiper on the 90s legacy outbacks? We are in need of a rear wiper and I found 3 at the local junkyard. Aside from removing, will a 1990 or a 1993 wiper fit a 1996?

Fairtax4me
Pop the cover off, remove the nut, give it a yank? Rear wipers aren't usually any different than front wipers. It's a conical splined seat with a threaded stud at the end. That's the only kind I've ever seen anyway.
djmark7
i just did my motor on a 98 leg wagon the wiper arm is def shorter than fronts and i think they changed body design in '94 so the bolts might not match up you have to remove arm, take off plastic cap, unscrew nut open back hatch cover (pop-outs) disconnect fluid hose and elec. conn. and reinstall , 3 bolts on motor just make sure you put the bottom rubber on the right way so you can feed fluid hose through it
