quartus
86 GL-10 Wgn EA82T, I have 4 fusible links in the little black box on Drivers side rear of the battery, however all they are all just twisted wire i.e. homemade looking. What are they supposed to look like? Where do you get them? Speaking of that, where do you all get parts for the older Subaru?

Hi, Those are color coded , black, green , red, and blue i think , the proper location and color is on the lid of the black box, get them from almost any old subaru at the wrecking yard. if the ones you have are homade from regular wire you stand a chance of burning up some wiring and stuff, you need to get the correct ones for this !! It's weird how many things you can buy new or refurbished from Napa. Fusible links should look pretty much like homemade twisted wire, but wrapped in colorful cloth. I think I have one in green cloth, and another in red cloth. The color corresponds with amp ratings. Your EA82 may have different colors. Does that help? Turbone
The EA82T takes 4. A black, a red and 2 greens. They look like this... I have almost a couple dozen, let me know if you would like all 4. I also have lots of parts, altho shipping might get pricey going East depending upon size.
