()__1337_CRAYOLA__()>
but why do i need to extend the rear brake line when i lift my ea81.... i remember on my brat i did the disk brake conversion but cant remember why.... trying to get everything setup for when my lift comes in this week. i know i have to extend the fronts 4 inches though. and can i keep the drums and just extend the hard line with another piece? monstaru
i never did anything to my brake lines for a four inch kit, =except "free" them from their keepers(the little metal tabs on the struts, and rear control arms. in other words, take them out of anything that is keeping them tied down. never had any issues until i went to 6". cheers, brian

TheSubaruJunkie
Both EA81 rigs I lifted had rear disc's converted too... but from everything I have heard & read, you do not need to extend them. Maybe just un-tac them from the trailing arms to give you alittle more slack.
lostbrat
i have a 6" lift, although i had to replace hard line from inside the cab back, due to rust out .i ran it to origanal placement. i then got longer rubber flex hose. i believe a wagner part. i took a measure ment went to a good parts store. looked inthe back of the brake book. found a longer hose with the right metric ends. looks factory, and professionally done.
