Jibs
So I've swapped the ej into my brat and it starts and idles ok. Kind of a rough idleat first then its great. Sometimes sputters and dies. Whenever I try to give it ANY gas, it dies. I thought it was something in the tank as it was real dirty and old gas was sitting in it fo a while, but its clean now and the same thing happens. I havereplaced the pump twice now and am on the third one so I don't think thats it, maybe the lines are clogged? Anyone else have any similar issues? Numbchux
sounds like you have a post-MAF vacuum leak. most likely a big one....like IAC or PCV lines.

Its been getting cold lately and I've been wanting to spend less and less time outside.

Jibs
what pump are you using? I tried an ea82T pump and then an xt6 fuel pump and now another ea82T pump.
Numbchux
I tried an ea82T pump and then an xt6 fuel pump and now another ea82T pump. anything FI should be just fine. using the stock SPFI pump in my loyale with the EJ22. the '86 wagon did this last summer when I first put the EJ22 in it. IAC line wasn't hooked up...so it was getting a ton of un-metered air. it would start and idle for a minute....but if you looked at the throttle, it'd quit. The Scooby
i second the IACV host is leaking. it sounds like a vacume leak between the MAF and the TB so i would check that.
