Loyale93v
I have no brake lights! I do have tail lights, however. I started with checking and replacing the bulbs(all of them) still nothing. I seem to be getting power to the bulb. Is there a brake light switch somewhere? I have checked all the fuses, (all good.) where is the brake light switch and how do I tell if it is faulty? Any one have any suggestions? My wife can't be driving around with out brake lights!
Legacy777
Yes there is a little switch at the brake pedal. If you look down there, you should see it. Make sure all the connector is connected and the wires look good. If everything looks good, I'd probably suggest replacing the switch.
Fairtax4me
It's hard to see if a switch is good just by looking at it. About the only thing you can do is make sure the plug is connected tight. Further testing with a VOM would be needed to determine if the switch is bad. If you have a VOM test for continuity across the switch when it is actuated. You can also feed 12v to the switch and check for voltage when actuated. If you don't have a VOM, get a short section of wire or even a large paper clip might work, and jump the two pins on the switch and see if the lights come on.
