labrador Posted October 10, 2009 Share Posted October 10, 2009 1992 Legacy, won't start just cranks and cranks (a few times vroom'd, then died) Pulled a plug and it was dry. Temps last night in single digits, currently high teens/low 20s. Plugged in block heater last night, no difference. Ran a space heater under it 2 hrs today, no difference. Last winter always started strong even below 0. Bad gas/frozen fuel line, bad fuel pump, fuse, fuel shut off switch??? lmdew Posted October 10, 2009 Share Posted October 10, 2009 Try shooting a little Starting fluid or gas into the intake. If it starts, it's a fuel problem. Heat to get the moisture out of the gas. Legacy777 Posted October 11, 2009 Share Posted October 11, 2009 If you are having temperature related starting issues, I'd suggest replacing the coolant temp sensors. These cars have no problems starting in very cold temps when everything is working correctly. The coolant temp sensor can drastically affect cold starting ability.
