1992 Legacy won't start/cold weather

Recommended Posts

1992 Legacy, won't start just cranks and cranks (a few times vroom'd, then died) Pulled a plug and it was dry. Temps last night in single digits, currently high teens/low 20s. Plugged in block heater last night, no difference. Ran a space heater under it 2 hrs today, no difference. Last winter always started strong even below 0.

Bad gas/frozen fuel line, bad fuel pump, fuse, fuel shut off switch??? Please keep answer simple, I have limited mechanical skills/tools, also no owners/service manual.

Thanks!

If you are having temperature related starting issues, I'd suggest replacing the coolant temp sensors. These cars have no problems starting in very cold temps when everything is working correctly. The coolant temp sensor can drastically affect cold starting ability.
