Crawler 65
OK, my new wagon has more window problems than any other car I have ever had:rolleyes: 1st off: How hard is it to replace the entire window regulator assembly in the front door of an EA82 wagon? Just looking at it, I can tell it's got to come out/go in 1 piece at a time:-\ But just how much of a PITA is that? 2nd: What type of adhesive do you use to glue the window glass into the nylon holders? What ever the PO used is yellow/orange, and did not stick worth a s#!t. 3rd: Is it a problem that I have the top and bottom parts of the windshield trim, but not the side pieces? (other than aesthetics?) If so, where would one get new window trim that was in excellent/new condition? Thanks in advance. The bright side is, the windows are the worst problem with my new red wagon:banana:
Scoobywagon
The window regulator should go in and out in a single piece. Been a while since I was in one of those, but as I recall, its a bit of a wrestling match, but not too bad. You use urethane to attach the glass to the little nylon clips. So far as I know. the trim parts are just that...trim.
NV Zeno
It's probably cheaper and much easier to just replace the whole door. EA82's are plentiful in the wrecking yards, and finding a color match is not all that difficult. Under $50, done in minutes. Just my 2 bucks
