amack Posted October 14, 2009 Share Posted October 14, 2009 I am looking at a '99 impreza outback hatch, it has 97k on it, dealer maintained its whole life, timing package just done on it, newer tires, auto trans., some rust under rear wheel well, small dents on one of the doors, other than that pretty standard...he wants $2800 for it. good deal? what should i look for on these models or be aware of before giving the ok? thanks, im new to subaru but not to cars. been into VW's, honda's and older mopar muscle. ''Torque bind'' (use the search function if not familiar with the term) can be a problem with AWD -- was the trans worked on, and if so, what was done?
