idosubaru
Currently run MWE axles on a 2" lifted (strut extensions) XT6 with all stock XT6 suspension. I'm wondering if I swap to EJ stuff if they'll be more forgiving or less when it comes to axles angles, wear, etc? The current XT6 axles seem to be doing fine (though not a ton of miles on the lift yet). I'd hate to switch to EJ axles and have them be less reliable than the XT6. Anyone with experience here? Uberoo
I dont have any experiance with the ej axles but a common lift for the ej stuff would be outback/forester struts on legos, imps, etc. that is all suspension lift.I dont hear that often about the ej stuff eating axles like candy like my ea81 with a 2" lift supposidly does.So maybe the ej stuff can take more angle? also the ej stuff was designed for a wider, heavier, more powerful, car so it should be stronger. again I know nothing, pure speculation on my part.Could always pick up some EJ axles from the junkyard and see how they run if you break the nwe's
idosubaru
legacy and XT6 axles differ a bit, so i'd have to do more than just change the axle though. good point, i would go ahead and swap to legacy stuff then in the future based on that, EJ stuff being made for heavier and more powerful vehicles.
