subyfreak
I have noticed some oil in the intake box by the throttle body and figure it could be caused by a plugged pcv valve. I have no idea where and how many valves there are on this engine. Any body have a picture of where they are? Thanks in advance. Oh and another thing not related. I need a TPS for a 01 Outback Beener edition if any one knows where I can score a used one.

OB99W
Ignoring the SeaFoam info, http://www.subaruoutback.org/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=14294 describes the PCV valve location and has well-lit pictures as well.

NAPA gave me the wrong PCV valve when I tried to change mine, and the wrong one was too small. No idea what it was for, it looked right, was just too small. The stocker is a stout metal unit, and cleaned up fine with carb cleaner. Dave

Dave Last time I went to the local Napa up here the guys behind the counter tried telling me that my car was only available with the 2.5 and my car had an engine swap done to get the H6 lol. That store has since closed. I will give my pcv a good cleaning before buying a new one. Thanks for the info.
CNY_Dave
Come to think of it, an H4 PCV valve will have the guts reversed from an H6. H4- threaded end to vacuum, H6- hose end to vacuum. Dave
