best pug wheels questions .....

Recommended Posts

This has probably been covered b4 multiple times , but just curious any particular years of Pugeot that has the best looking wheels ? Steel ones I guess , or were alloys common on them . Are they all 14 inch ... is that best for a stock '82 Brat ? I may raise it a bit later on but no more than an inch , maybe 2 max . For right now I'm just going to leave it stock height . My tires are getting pretty thin and I might as well upgrade to larger wheels and tires now . Going to scrounge the junkyards after I get some advice here and see if I can get some cheap wheels and tires .

I really want to redrill the hubs and do the 6 lugs ..... but right now I feel lazy and I just want to get some good rubber on it .

Thanks , or if it's been covered give me the link to it please .

Thanks ,

Bob

Yes this has been covered about a week or so ago, but we can go over this a little more :)

The Peugeot 505 had a range of wheels in 14" - 3 diffrent steel styles and 3 Alloy styles - then there are the 15" alloy wheels (only one or two styles IIRC, both spoke styles)

But anyway, I would go with the 14" alloys if you are able to find them in the yard, they look pretty nice. You can see pictures off all the 4x140 wheels at the link on top of the page "Subarus of the 80s" as for tires with out a lift. the biggest you would want to go is 205/75/R14s (26" overall diameter) - as for the 15" wheels, I'm not sure on tire size, but I dout you will be able to find those wheel fairly easy anyway.

I have the 505 Steel round holes on my wagon. the other two styles are rectangle or ovel holes.

Hope this bit of info helps you :)
