Eljefe
Is there an all rubber motor mount for the Legecy, or are I stuck with the really expensive gell filled ones?? Thanks......

Eljefe
Thanks Josh ! I'll see if my Dealer can find them. If not i'll have to mail order them from someone else. I guess I should have added that it is a 90 Legacy AWD Wagon, does it make a difference?
Legacy777
no difference... if your dealer doesn't have them, or has a high price, you can get them from http://www.subaruparts.com I ordered my t-belt stuff from them as they were the cheapest. Big thing with subaruparts.com is that they are good if you order parts that are in stock....if they don't have them in stock....you may have a wait. When I checked last night, those mounts were in stock.
Eljefe
Thanks, I'll look and see if I can get them from Subaruparts.com
Eljefe
The dealer has them. $75 They say they won't fit, and I can't return them. If you say they will work, i'll trust you and get them from subaruparts.com for $55. I've read many of your posts and help topics so i'll go with what you say. The dealer here couldn't even get the right thermostat for the A/C. They said the mounts are rectangular and rubber as opposed to the round ones. Does that sound like the stuff?? DerFahrer
Why would they tell you they wouldn't fit??? Dealers :brolleye: Josh has a parts list for everything BC-BF Legacy, and he knows what he's doing. Order that part# with confidence. I'd trust him far more than any stupid dealer... Eljefe
They're on the way!! Thanks !! Jeff..
Legacy777
they'll work fine. The round ones are liquid filled and I think do have a different metal bracket......I've got the sti ones on my car right now, and they fit. I will say motor mounts aren't exactly the funnest to put in....sti or no sti. Only thing you may need is the brackets for the square mounts. I think the bracket for the round ones will work, but it's up to you. The brackets are cheap....13 bucks from subaruparts.com pt #'s for brackets are: right: 41031AA110 left: 41031AA120
Eljefe
Well, I got my motor mounts, but i'm still waiting on the brackets. At the rate i'm going here, i'll get my struts before the brackets show up.
Eljefe
The next project is to get rid of these BUTT UGLY wheels & hub caps.
Marnix
I've just installed STi rubber engine mounts (and strut mounts, for that matter ) and they are AA080. They came with the metal brackets and made a perfect fit to my MY92 Legacy, which is technically identical to a MY90 Legacy (or even MY99 Impreza Turbo for that matter). Legacy777
the part number on the sti rubber mount may be the same as the early legacy rubber mount....however they are most definitely not made with the same rubber. I've had both in my hand.
Eljefe
Wooo Hooo !!!! The mount brackets finally showed up !! I got the mounts, brackets and all 4 struts. Time for a good ol' Subi thrash.
