Qman
well since ive never had a real tree for X-mas i was wondering if i need to bring a saw to cut down the tree. Yes, a bow saw works best, well second only to a chain saw.
Breeke
I will have a chain saw with me, so don't worry around a saw if you don't already have one.

Qman
One way or another, there WILL be chainsaws. Oh, yes. There WILL BE chainsaws.zzz Within reason guys. Don't get silly and bring out 24"+ as it is not neccessary. A small bow saw is more than adequate for this job.

So my 084 Big timber feller isn't what I need?!?!?!!?!? it's only got a 60" bar. zzz The 026 is a small saw and its what I use in the treefarm to fall tree's. This isn't my first tree cutting down rodeo, cowboy :-p What if I borrow a Feller Buncher? I won't even need my subie!!! yay!!! I think that I am in, at least right now. It's on a Sunday, so I should be available... We should definitely caravan it over there! I am rockin' a stock subie with snow tires, I should be ok for this, correct? Sounds like a real good time...

Considering all the wind storms we've been having, a few good chainsaws might be good to have with us. I will bring my bowsaw if someone wants to be more "traditional" for cutting a X-Mas tree
