Ugly as hell, and when I got it the TOD was so bad I couldn't hear it but now That I fixed the TOD, I'm noticing Pinging. and a lack of power some times.. but seems to idle just fine, (sometimes its a little low.) Any Ideas? Also its not getting up to temp.. But I think that's because the thermostat, and or the leak in the lines, my next trip is to get new hoses, And stuff. Loyale 2.7 Turbo Posted October 31, 2009 Share Posted October 31, 2009 I Assume it is an EA82, isn`t it? ... if So, to Check the Timin` take off the Rubber Cap at the Gearbox`s Top, it Hides the Flywheel with its Marks... then with a Timin` Light Gun, set the Timin` at 20º or Around 20º Should be Fine. I just have to get the fan to shut off now... If you are going to use it as a Wheeler you'll want that thing to run all the time, Mine in the Wheeler is running one the key is on. Hadn't thought of it but there will be a lot of frustrated people pulling dashes in nasty weather. It's kind of a rite of passage among Subaru enthusiasts - you haven't really loved a Subaru till you've replaced it's heater core, wiped everything under the dash down with disinfecting wipes, and replaced all the rotted foam on the ducting and flapper door's. xoomer Posted November 3, 2009 Author Share Posted November 3, 2009 Heat seems to be there, now... not as warm as I want it to be... but its there. Timing seems nice.. I was cruising in 3rd on the freeway at 3500rpm, doing about 55 tonight on the way home... I want to get the Fan to Switch on and off like it is supposed too. (I'm anal about that.) I can switch Jump it when I go 4wheeling to keep it on, but for DD duty I would just like to get this started...
