Speedwagon
The turn signals appear to be on the sides of the headlights, but this doesn't seem right for the car. Not only are they hardly visible, but I have no front running lights. So how is this supposed to be setup? Should there be some other bumper on here? Shamelessly stealing this pic from TheYeti thread where he sold it, since it's the same vehicle:
Uberoo
the turn signals are actually the amber lights in the bumper.the running lights are the clear lights to the side of the headlights. It is however a pretty simple mod to make the parking lights your turn signals... So there should be a different bumper on this car then? Apparently, nobody can see when I have my turn signal on in the front, so having the parking lights as turn signals might be easy, but it's not very effective. monstaru
that is why they encased the orange lenses in black, to be able to notice them.........i have a really good bumper for cheap.hit me up if you want it.can ship it for like 20 bucks. of course , you might check to see if'n the wiring is there for the turn signals.that may have had rectangular headlights at one point, it would make the bumper make sense...... either that or the bumper is off of a standard.with single round headlamps. cheers, brian
GeneralDisorder
That bumper is off a single sealed-beam car as they have the turn-signals outboard of the headlights. You should have a GL bumper that has the turn signals in it. If you put orange lamps in the side-markers they do better as turn signals. Speedwagon
I suspect the bumper has been replaced, as there is a bolt missing from the driver's side. I found this out by leaning on the bumper one day, to have it quickly drop a few inches.

Speedwagon
I ended up swapping bumpers between the 2 BRATs, since the '87 I recently bought has the correct bumper on it. And I plan on going with tube bumpers before long on my '87 anyways. So now the '85 looks and works like it's supposed to!
