I'd love to go now that I have my BRAT. Well you DID have a beautiful BRAT, but decided to sell it to some renob... JK So far we have Winegars Ice Cream for the meet and eat on Sat, then Reecers Creek for the camping/wheeling area Sat-Sun, Sun have a canyon run and leave that night or, have some more fun and take off Monday. That sounds good to me. Thus far the plans are available to adjustment as necessary, and we still are missing our date. I like memorial day weekend, but a lot of people are busy that weekend. Jake DMC Posted March 10, 2010 Share Posted March 10, 2010 I am still down for the Memorial Day weekend idea. It makes it so all the people who are traveling won't need to be in a big hurry. I do understand people my have family obligations but hey... bring the family along, the more the merrier. Kill 2 birds Brat meet and family outing/camping trip. It's a win win. And as far as the extra cars on the roads that somebody expressed concerned with, I don't think Ellensburg is a huge Memorial Day destination, I could be wrong it has been a while since I have been there. Otherwise most of the crowd will be offroaders in the manastash and up toward naches which is the other side of the valley. And yes memorial day weekend others may have plans, there is a rallyx that i would go to, but i think a brat meet is worth it. and it does make for a more relaxed weekend time wise for those making a longer trip. And there is the fact that almost everyone is going to have the weekend off so that opens it up more. so far ive heard more about amount of time being the issue and not the actual date. So im thinking it has to be memorial day weekend. I hope more people can make it this way instead of a regular weekend. Txakura Posted March 11, 2010 Share Posted March 11, 2010 Memorial Day sounds best. Suubs and family are not mutually exclusive. Eburg is not a huge traffic issue (once you get off I-90). The campsite might need to be booked in advance. No idea how to anticipate the size needed, half the yay's won't show, half the lurkers will... Its primitive, there is a restroom further up the road at the Lion Rock picknick place. But otherwise its pretty much just a large area in the trees right on the road in. There are other spots so if one is taken then no problem. if anything i can go up there earlier in the weekend and try to claim the area. and Ill have to see about maybe getting a porta jon up there to make things a bit better since there might be a big group. -Andy Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

We've got BRAT's, we could take turns running people up to the can. Who needs seatbelts anyway... And memorial day weekend is tough for me because my work is busiest during that time, but if I claim it off now, the rest of the crew can whine and moan all they want. So can we officially have the date memorial day weekend? If so, I'm gonna request the days off tomorrow. And I personally like "roughing it." I'll drag my tent along and maybe a friend or two (Jaren, you listening?) and by then I'll have it repaired/upgraded and the rear seats installed. I was thinking sometime in June, but I'm just one man with one BRAT. Once you've got something 100% down you should start a new post or edit this one so that all of the information is on the first page.
