moobiker
I must be missing something - I've looked around the board, looked through the Subaru shop manual (perhaps I didn't download the correct page for the answer to this question) and also the Haynes manual - I can't tell how the little rubber half moon gasket/plug widget's are identified - the ones on the valve cover side of the head in two places. I need to order new ones, and thought I might as well look stupid here before I call 1stsubaruparts and ask for "the little rubber half moon dealies"
Legacy777
Welcome to the USMB. I don't know the specific name for those parts. I looked breifly through the parts catalog I have, and didn't find those things. What year and model subaru do you have?
moobiker
Thanks for the reply - it's a 97 Outback
Legacy777
Well I can't seem to find it in any of the diagrams. I'm sure it's listed in the gasket & seal part numbers, but without pictures, I don't know what is what. You may have to call the dealer on this one. moobiker
Thanks Mugs, that's it - searching with the part no. brought up this handy little site that would have answered my question if I had found it first - http://opposedforces.com/parts/legacy/us_b11/type_45/engine/cylinder_head/illustration_1/ - the page is for the cylinder head components but gives parts numbers for all
