njdrsubaru
So I happen to have had a mishap with water... After that the tranny lost all gears and even after changing fluids it did not help at all... What else should I do... Is the tranny toasted? Mind that it grabs first when I start. Then after 2 mnts it stops grabbing and it feels like it is in park... Edited November 29, 2009 by njdrsubaru

Fairtax4me
Yeah water damage is almost always an instant killer for automatic transmissions. It damages the clutch packs and wreaks havoc on electrical parts (shift solenoids). Can also clog up the valve body with sludge. Time for a used transmission to swap in.
