themoneypit
ok, so i found someone selling a complete ej20tt swap for a legacy. how much re-wiring and what not would be involved here. comes with ecu, would this be a somewhat plug and play with the ecu? let me know, i might go buy it ASAP!! my car is a 97OBW 5spd 2.5 right now
idosubaru
already covered a good bit here and probably at NASIOC. no it's not plug and play. the twin turbo is not a direct fit item...but of course anything can be done with enough time, money, effort, etc.
themoneypit
the ad says "engine, ecu, axles, intercooler, everything you need to swap into your legacy or impreza..." but yeah im thinking itd end up more project than what i want to get into... just saw it and have a few beers in me LOL so... seemed good at the moment, would be AWESOME to have a 280hp twin turbo in the ole OBW.. talk about a sleeper!!!! Durania
Won't fit a LHD vehicle without serious modification, that is why they are dirt cheap. Issue is with clearance from the steering column and one of the turbos. You would be 1000x better off swapping in a single turbo motor.
lazerfloyd
Funny, I just logged in here to find out the answer to the same question. We're probably looking at the same craigslist ad. The car I would be looking to swap into is a '95 Legacy L, but I'm guessing the same difficulties would apply to my car too. I'm too cheap to buy a WRX (and pay insurance on it), but fitting a used turbo motor into my Legacy and not telling anyone about it.... someday. Note also, that ad is a re-post from about a month ago... it still hasn't sold.

Durania
The cool thing would be to get an old Legacy postal vehicle and swap one in that way.
