Rust Posted November 25, 2009 Share Posted November 25, 2009 Can you use a loyale wagon rear wheel wells be used in a brat. The ones in the brat are toast and the shock towers are popped through. I'd like to cut the wheel wells out of a 91 loyal wagon and also use the loyale rear struts. Anyone done this before? Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
hatchsub Posted November 25, 2009 Share Posted November 25, 2009 (edited) Hey Pete. Ive never heard of anyone doing it before but then again i cant really think of a good reason why you couldnt. The rear wheel wells on the loyale are a better design than the brat ones so you shouldnt have the problem with the shock mounts rusting to nothing. I myself would give it a go as long as all dimensions are similar. Lets just say ive see wheelwells made out of old washing machines on brats so anything is possible Edit: Are you planning on cutting both out at the spotwelds and welding em in that way? lostbrat Posted November 26, 2009 Share Posted November 26, 2009 i just replaced my rear wheel arches, shock tower, and wheel well. i used a front fender,off a brat ,cut line in the area of the fender flare. it covers from the front molding over to the mud flap perfect match. mcgyver331 Posted February 16, 2010 Share Posted February 16, 2010 Man I would love to grab a set of wheel wells only but my frame is bad too around the torsion bar mountings. going to go do some more research on putting struts and not using the torsion at all.
