Tibia
I havnt had to post in a long time considering most questions can be answered with a search. It looks like I have a coolant leak from the inlet tube O ring. I was curious as to what the best way to fix this would be. is there an easy way thanks in advance Larry
hardtail_pride
Same problem for me, looking to solve without having to do the water pump procedure. Mine is leaking from the metal hose connecting to the lower radiator hose. I believe its the o ring scenario as well. Do you just pull the pipe, put on new o ring, and stuff it back in? Thanks for some help.
markjw
Yeah, there is one 12mm bolt that holds the tube. Remove that and pull.
hardtail_pride
To get to this bolt, you need to remove the ac pump and alternator right?
markjw
To get to this bolt, you need to remove the ac pump and alternator right? No...I just went and looked. You can get to it from behind the alt. But,here's the thing. You have to either remove the Battery or Alt. to have enough room to pull the pipe. MilesFox
a lot of times you can just loosen the bolt and shove the pip ein mtoe and hold it on while tightening the bolt you can get an o-ring to replace it, or put a bead of silicone around the existing 0-ring if you are in a pinch
