vagen
I'm looking at a vf10/11 from a legacy turbo as a possible upgrade for my stock vf7. here's my question... will the vf10/11 bolt in place of the vf7 or am I better off just converting to the TD04L? I'm not looking for huge power just less heat at the same boost levels. I already have an intercooler and d/v installed on the car and I am planning a set of 280xz-t injectors in the very near future.
GeneralDisorder
VF11 and TD04/TD05 have the same flanges (thus the same amount of work for either). The TD04 is easier though as the compressor outlet is not at a funny angle like the VF11. GD
vagen
ah... point taken i'll hold out for the TD04L then
GeneralDisorder
The VF11 is a better size for the EA82T though so you should consider that as well. And you can rotate the compressor outlet on the VF11 if you want to. They are both good choices - just depends on where you want the power to come on. The TD04 is going to be a bit higher than the VF11 just due to the size differences. I'm going to the TD05-16G on my 22T - the VF11 is just too small - always was undersized for my engine. Just about perfect for the 1.8 though I should think. 10 psi is all you want anyway...... GD
