2K4 STI
What are my options for Rear Disc brake pads on my 87 RX? Im going to be doing the 5 lug swap here soon and with the WRX front brakes i want something in the rear to keep up with them. Thanks
idosubaru
are you leaving the calipers stock - are you doing the nissan rear ebrake caliper swap or what for the ebrake when you swap to wrx? i'd get a set of quality rear pads in what ever flavor you prefer, there are a variety of high quality pads that do well. i find the brake discussions and information insane. i looked into all the fancy stuff people like to buy but ended up just getting high quality stuff like adaptive one ceramics, and i've been happy with those so far. 2K4 STI
The rear calipers are the stock EA82T calipers. I'm just not sure who makes pads for the rear calipers other than the stock ones. Any links to where to buy good pads would Help. Thanks Oh and No ebrake for now

presslab
I have Porterfield R4S all the way around. They stop great, never overheated them. Pretty good stopping power too. The pads that came on the car (unknown) would fade easily. When cold they take a couple stops to make them work. Weird thing though, I have the same compound pads on my VW and they work fine when cold. The application ('88 GL-10 turbo) was not in their application guide but when I called them it was no problem. http://www.porterfield-brakes.com/
