brysawn
There are some pretty cool roof systems out there, I'd like to see them. I'd like to get some inspiration. I searched, and found roof rack threads, but no pictures.
brysawn
and for those of you that have a fairing, what size do you use? I'm thinking about a 32"
Markus56
Before install side shot In action! That is my roof rack. It is a modified bunk bed. All I did was weld some ends on it and add light tabs. And paint it flat black  And now it has 4 spot lights instead of those two round lights And i don't use a fairing; i like the whistling sound i make when i drive by Edited December 10, 2009 by Markus56

Markus56
I have 4" (i think) thule bars which holds the rack What is holding everything together is 6 hose clamps. Three on the front rack, 3 on the back. I have not had any problems so far...
()__1337_CRAYOLA__()>
i used 4 muffler clamps to hold the basket to my thule bars and it has a 48" at the widest point wind deflector. basket is made from scratch with about 4-5 hours of cutting and welding

brysawn
I made one today, out of some steel I had laying around. It's pretty heavy (~60 lbs) but I think it'll look, and work well.
The Beast I Drive
Here's what I got It started as a lightbar for a fullsize Bronco, then I added the pipe for the rack, and mounted my spare, my jack, and a shovel to it. Also incorporated a pair of flag holders on the corners -Bill

brysawn
It's just angle iron, and some steel channeling. With pipe clamps, and hooks welded to it It's 36" x 30"
