akc
I have exhaust coming in my heater at stop sign/ lights. If I turn the fan off it is fine. I do have a small exhaust leak in my car (exhaust manifold gaskets ) 86 sub gl. Is that enough to do it or is there something else amiss. (planning on changing the gasket next weekend. ) .. Also any tips on getting the gaskets to LAST longer.....
Ricearu
put the heat on recirculate. your drawing in outside air, fix your exhaust gaskets. spray the gaskets, head mating surfaces, and exhaust flanges liberally with copper spray-a-gasket. That's what I do. Hell I reuse with copper spray. permatex products rawk
idosubaru
sealing up that leak should help. get Subaru OEM gaskets, they're a lot better quality than aftermarkets. oil dripping on the exhaust usually smells bad too.
