Uberoo
Im in the the process of putting a 5 speed DR transmission into my 83 wagon.I keep getting hung up in a few places.Like the parts stores not being able to find a correct throw out bearing. So I took the old throwout bearing off to compare with what they had...In the process I lost one of the little retaining clips for the bearing.Any idea where I might find another? Not sure if the parts stores would have anything because they can't seem to even order the correct part.. transmission came out of an 85 GL EA82 car... xbeerd
i think thats most likely a dealer part, i've only got one of the 2 retaining clips ad everything seems to work fine.
GeneralDisorder
Yep - dealer should stock them. They are the same right up through the EJ stuff. GD
Txakura
I safety wired mine with .032*, the pigtails out of the way - the clips are cheesy to begin with (*.032" stainless steel safety wire)

Txakura
LMAO just make sure that it is secure and can't in any conceivable way interfere with normal operation...
phantomcrooner
I switched out the throwout fork about 10k miles ago and only had one clip, still works fine.
