anybody know what this wire is/was for?

Recommended Posts

95 Legacy LS, auto trans.

The wire in question is under the ignitor, is red & blue, and connected to the chassis on the DS. Seems from the way its connected to the body that it would be a ground. But for what?

It may be nothing to worry about, but I was hoping somebody could shed some light on it for me... The FSM hasn't help me a bit in narrowing it down... not knowing is killing me

Thanks!

Not really....the trany is plenty grounded by being bolted to the engine.....but if the engine ground let go.......?

I bet if you swung that wire down toward the trany, and moved it about the length of the wire, you will be able to see where it was connected to the trany. Prolly best to reconnect it. There's electronics inside the A/T that needs a good ground.
