Uberoo
it seems the last time I played with my Ea81 toy I must have hit a rut with the lower radiator support.so its bent up a bit.Which was no problem when I wasn't running a hood, but now that Ive found a hood, the radiator is interfering with the hood and not allowing it to shut.Is there a way to bend the support back down or would I be better off cutting the support out and welding some box channel in its place? The Beast I Drive
I did this a while back on my Brat. http://ultimatesubaru.org/forum/showthread.php?t=104790&page=2&highlight=workin If its not on that page skip ahead till you get to the part where I rebuild the lower radiator support. -Bill
Uberoo
So what did you do about the tow hook/loops down there?Did you Weld some D rings to it?
The Beast I Drive
I welded 3/4" thick tabs to the bumpers in-line with the mounting moints on the body, then attached 5/8" clasps to those at each corner. The way I did the front end and the rear end, I gaind almost a whole foot of clearance under the radiator and I gained 8+ inches of clearance under the rear of the bed. When you have a small lift (mine is only 3") you need all the clearance possible. -Bill
Uberoo
do you have any more pics of the whole set up because Im running a 2"/torsion bar cranked up lift.More clearance might be a good thing..

It's all in the thread I linked, look through it from the first page, it's got the lift and all the mods I've done so far. -Bill
