brake question 2000 legacy

Recommended Posts

wife stated bad noise coming from back when brakes were applied , when i bought the car the owner before me stated he broke a caliper bolt, so finally after 6,000 mi i changed the passanger side rear only new loaded caliper new rotor , yes should change other side , and will but pretty cold out , bleed the brakes , everything went on great,[ yes older caliper was junk along with pads , rotor] now brakes seem alittle low , not bad , but could be better , thinking that since i only changed the one side this might be the problem ,parts store only had 1 side , any suggestions

It may be the wheel bearings making the noise too. Jack the car and grab the top and bottom of the wheel an try to move it back and forth and side to side. Any movement is bad. Also spin the wheel, if it feels rough the bearing is most likely gone.

Yes, always change brakes in pairs.
