'84 Flat-Four
I couldn't find this tip on this board but did find it on Endwrench. If its already in here, sorry for the duplicate. I didn't notice any looseness on the BR wire but I gave it an extra push into the connector. P0130 hasn't shown up in over 2.5 weeks, and it was coming up every day after clearing, sometimes right away. Hope this helps somebody. Quoting Endwrench: "If you encounter a DTC P0130 on a 1995 Subaru Legacy, check that the BR wire in connector B22 (16 pin/light gray–Main Engine Harness) is properly inserted into the connector. This connector is not shown in any wiring diagram related to this code."
OB99W
Thanks for the info. The BR (black with red stripe) wire is pin #16 of the 16-pin B22. It's a ground connection for the ECU. B22 mates with E3. There are several other pins of that connector that carry ECU ground connections. Although EndWrench makes a point about this particular code and connector wire, in general poor connections between the "E" (engine) and "B" (body) harnesses, especially if they've been subjected to spray from salted roads, can be a cause of otherwise unexplained DTCs.
