Vanishing Boy
-> I'd rather keep this situation separate from my other GLadys thread due to its depressing nature. So please forgive me. -> Like any person who does everyday, we all go to work to do the daily dance. But this happend: ^ What happend was, I was at the far right-lane and the traffic was slow. The light went green, mine wasn't moving due to crosswalk guards (since the intersection is surrounded by schools, but I wasn't in the school zone), the road has 3 lanes going straight and two going left. I saw the middle-lane clear, so I switch my left signal ON, yielded on my left cautiously. While 70% of my car was inside on the middle-lane...AND POW!!!!! -> This Sentra swiped my car like a guardrail as this person had a greater impact speed compared to my car (20 mph [sentra] vs. 3 mph [GLadys]). That car didn't stop until in the first-half of the intersection, note that the impact happened 2-4 car lengths before the intersection. -> According to Las Vegas Metro officer, since there were no witness willing to testify; the incident is a 50/50 ordeal because both of us were trying to merge in the same lane. -> I also called my insurance and they said pretty much the same thing... -> The location of the accident, it was too busy when when we hit each other so we had to park. -> The officer who dealt the situation: -> Here was the outcome, we both got cited thou. But here was a weigh in between us: Me & GLadys: - Cited for not having a NV licence plates, the officer got weirded out when my Arizona registration card came with a Nevada address. According to my ticket its a $200 fine, unless if I register it right away. The Sentra Girl - Cited for driving without proof of insurance. - Licence plates got confiscated. - Girl walked home. -> If anyone can suggest on which part should I need to replace the damages. I'm still waiting for a reply from artistic_gore about getting the Loyale shell.
hatchsub
-> If anyone can suggest on which part should I need to replace the damages. I'm still waiting for a reply from artistic_gore about getting the Loyale shell. That all depends on how perfect you want it again. To me it looks the sentra took the brunt of the impact. Your car looks like you got the front fender pushed in ever so slightly and the bumper messed up. If you want to fix it right it may need a new fender but id try to straighten that one first. These fenders are made of such thin metal you can bend them back by hand. And you will def need a new front bumper.
The Dude Abides
You got really lucky its not that bad of damage. Hatchsub is correct, just try to bend out the fender and check the boneyards for a bumper and upper trim piece of the same color. My estimate cost for you to fix less then 300 bucks. Thats if you wanted the new fender.
RAugur33
Looks like the Suby won this one. That Nissan is messed up! This is the perfect opportunity to get rid of that bumper and put on a custom off-road bumper.
Vanishing Boy
-> ... My estimate cost for you to fix less then 300 bucks. Thats if you wanted the new fender. ^ I'm not looking for a totally new one, I can just look around for a part-out sale (208subaruguy), a wagon shell (artistic_gore), or a cheap wagon (any ebay/craigslist). This is the perfect opportunity to get rid of that bumper and put on a custom off-road bumper. ^ Nah...I'm planing on a full-on resto-mod; clean-shell/interior and if my EA82 gives up...either EJ22, EJ205/EJ207, or EJ25 STi swap in the future. I want to make it a semi-show car daily driver:)
GeneralDisorder
Bumper, lower grill support, marker light, fender. Easily done for around $100 at most yards. Get some matching paint ~ $100 in materials for paint/prep. Shoot the fender, grill support and lower bumper off the car - re-black the top of the bumper. Install. You will have some straightening to do on the core support where the fender bolts on - but it doesn't have to be perfect since the fender hides it and it's not visible from the engine bay. A LOT cheaper than the Sentra to repair. GD Edited February 21, 2010 by GeneralDisorder
Jake DMC
Bummer... luckly parts are cheap. Like it was said before check yards maroon wagons make up like a third of all colors options. Should be no problem. Good thing it was a minor fender bender since the bimbo that munched you had no insurance... Or at least proof of it. -Jake
