Gsir08
As the title says, I'm wondering what size that thread is for the pipe on the egr that goes into the head and the intake. Is it a pipe or straight metric? Anyone know the size?
Legacy777
I would imagine it's straight metric. Don't know the size though.
MilesFox
if i had to guess, it woud be 17 or 18mm with a 1.0 thread. just a guess, though, its probably the same as an oxygen sensor bung
logic23
the EGR tap is a 16x1.5. If the engine doesn't have the EGR hole threaded you use a 9/16 drill bit to get the whole to the right size and a 9/32 is the hole size into the combustion chamber. logic23
i saw you posted asking if anone had done this before... I've done it several times. Be gentle when you are drilling through into the combustion chamber, go slow. Use wd-40 when drilling and tapping helps it go smooth. Any other question feel free to ask..
