Subafreak
Not much. Pretty much what I feared, I got it driving and haven't got anything else done to it other than drive it. Lol. But winter will be rolling in quick so I will be getting something done to it soon. Primarily getting the front axle shafts in it.
RCR46and2
How does it drive on road, power and handling? And do you think you could tell us a rough estimate for price of materials you used?
Subafreak
It's pretty well behaved on road. It takes some getting use to with no sway bars and all but once you get comfortable with it I can honestly say it feels much safer than most straight axle vehicles. As for power it has plenty. The only problem is the EGT,s climb up into the 1600 range if you don't go easy on the throttle like maintaining 80mph up the hills on the highway. A non intercooled 2.2 running 11psi is not the ideal choice of engine for rolling big tires. I think there is an EZ30 swap in it's near future. Subafreak
Oh, and as far as material prices go, it's very hard to estimate as most of it was just metal scraps from around the shop. The owner use to buy the scraps from metal suppliers and there was a good selection of left overs.......at least there use to be. Lol.
Uberoo
So how would the power be with something non turbo like a EJ22 or 25?
Subafreak
Well when the wagon had the stock EJ22 it was a dog. The frankenmotor 2.5/2.2heads was a huge improvement. I imagine a regular 2.5 would also be decent.
my69opelgt
Half the thread pics are broken links, what happened?
NorthCoast
What happened to all the pics? I found one of things I was looking for at the beginning of the thread but I wanted to look at the rest.
Gloyale
He probably reorganized his uploads on photobucket into new albums. Screws up all the linking. So if you don't put your pics in an "album" when you first upload them and link to them, then just leave them there in your general "library" . If you put them in an album later it changes the linked location.
