NoahDL88
I replaced the clutch on my 94 leggo, it sure is nice to have 5th gear again. replaced the pilot bearing and the throw out bearing, of course. Now when I start the car the starter is really loud. Before it was nice and "normal" volume, but now it sounds like the starter is in my lap. Anyone ever see this before? I'm gonna double check bolt torque tomorrow, and go from there.

Rooster2
good call, tightening the bolts should clear it up, i guess we'll see tomorrow If tightening the bolts doesn't fix the starter, then prolly best to replace the starter. Otherwise, there is no relationship between clutch and starter. Maybe starter is in need of replacing anyway.
NoahDL88
It was nice and quiet the day I pulled the tranny, I know freak breakdowns do occur, but this would be really weird.
NoahDL88
Turns out the big ground to the battery from the engine is important. My battery is charging again, and the starter is quiet.
