MagicLight
Gas mileage dropped about 2 miles per gallon after having ATF changed on 2008 Outback 2.5i. Any idea why?
bheinen74
changing ATF on a 2 year old Soob? what are your miles.
MagicLight
Subaru requires at 30,000. 41,000 at this time. Been trying to figure this out for a while.
nipper
Did you use the proper fluid? How did you determine the MPG number? May just be a coincidence as 2mpg is hard to say is anything big. A slight change in driving habits can do 2-5 mpg difference. Check tire pressures. nipper
bheinen74
probably used the wrong ATF, its a special from subaru only blend.
MagicLight
Had to start filling up about 35 miles sooner per tank was first clue. I also keep mileage records and use the dash readout. They ordered Subaru ATF.
