97obs Posted March 18, 2010 Share Posted March 18, 2010 I recently bought a used 97 impreza outback sport and am trying to determine if it has a keyless entry system installed (it did not come with a remote). i don't know where/what i should be looking for. if it turns out to not have it installed would it be best/possible to use an aftemarket system or do i need the oem? lmdew Posted March 18, 2010 Share Posted March 18, 2010 Look up under the drivers dash. The keyless from Subaru is a 4x5x1" black plastic box. If you have power locks you can put one in.
