Naked Buell Posted March 23, 2010 Share Posted March 23, 2010 Hi everyone. I am new to the forum and really enjoy all the info that is passed around. I have a 85 Brat that I am in the process of lifting. My question is, Can you put a 2.2 engine into the Brat? Do I need the tranny with the whole rearend as well? My goal is to put a 2.2 or 2.5 (some think bad choice due to head gasket) whole set up into the Brat. Basically those cars with the Brat body. Can it be done in a reasonable manner? The Dude Abides Posted March 23, 2010 Share Posted March 23, 2010 I could give you a long elobarate answer but the simple one is yes it has been done lots of times. You will need an adaptor plate to fit it to the stock tranny and the wireing loom from a donar car. Type in ej swap in the search function and you get loads of info.
