Here are some generic suggestions for no start that you may want to look at:

The code you posted is for Coil Issues.

hmm i double check the code

P0335

online and called around to mechanics and a couple auto stores especially auto zone and they said it sounds like CKP

so crank sensor? that's weird cause i JUST bought a new one about 3 weeks ago.

thoughts? cause right now i'm calling around to find a place to test my CKP and the ignition control module.

I first posted the P0335 code was the CPS and then reread your posting saying it was a P0355 and then changed my post! Hope you get it figured out. Is the connector fully seated on the CPS? Take a look at the wiring too!

kick rump roast!! i bought a new CPS and she works! she purrs beautifully!

thank you guys so much for your support and help! :)

Now....on to my next project. I wanna get more power out of this EJ22 motor. What can I do? Top notch plugs and coil and wires? Is there any NA tuning I can do or a simple turbo kit?

My buddy thinks is the starter. What say you subie aficionados?

Kick him/her in the rear.

Glad you got it fixed. Now grab a handful of crank sensors out of the junkyard for when the new new one quits in three weeks.

JK. But really spare parts like that are cheap to get and can be handy for testing with if you ever come across this situation again.

Your EJ22 is pretty good as it sits, but a hotter plug will help your power a bit.

I use Bosch Platinum+2's

As for good wires, I currently use Napa "Beldon" wires, they suck.

And upgrading your coil most likely won't do much for you.

You can run a turbo on your engine, but it requires a bit of fabbing, a new ECU,

a turbo (obviously), an intercooler if you want it to run reliably for a decent

amount of time, and a few other things I'm forgetting.

Somebody with more turbo experience should chime in.

I , too have a 96 Impreza 2.2 , auto, was yours auto ? Anyway I have NGK plugs and Bosch Red Ignition wire set , the Red Wires are the higher quality wire set = better spark distribution. Maybe run a cleaner through fuel injection system, before you change the plugs..

We find that the Impreza is a great little car. :)
