93 loyale 4wd rear end shimmy

Recommended Posts

lug nuts/drum nut is fine. the bearings seem ok. I think the rear end is just slightly out of allignment. Any way to check caster/camber ? PS this is my "new" car. All my other vehicles are 1986 or older.

baybe a tire imbalance? rotate the tires rear to front and front to rear, and see if the vibration moves to the front, if so, your problem is the wheel itself. if not, look into wheel bearings.

there is no alignment on the rear suspension, the only thing that can be out of adjustment is something that is bent.

if you feel vibration in your seat on accel or decel, maybe you have a bad u-joint on the driveshaft.

when you figure this out let me know

^:lol::lol::lol:

best you can do is get dirty. put it on jacks and shake the s@$! out of your pivot points (STRUTS, bushings, u joints and bearings) find the troubled area then fix it and dont forget to tell michael appel:lol:

in my opinion if its a vertical wobble its a wheel thats off balance or messed up tire, if its horizontal then id check the u joints and rear pivot points.

i had a bad shake when id turn while out wheeling and it was the bushing under the mounting bracket for the drive-line.on the passenger side.. it felt like i was on an off balance washing machine :lol:
