but im not sure if this is exactly what i need because i might not have this sensor or that sensor for the newer harness and i dont want a cel light and then also i know that i cant go to new with the computer because im sure that the engine doesnt have avcs i think thats the right acronym so if anyone could help me in the right direction with what exactly i need because ive read nermerious post on wrx swaps but i dont really have the space to go and buy a wrecked wrx and swap the dash and everything else wish i did would so make this alot easier :-\

ps i would also like to be able to flash and tune the ecu and all that good stuff so what years was ecu was that possible with

Okay. Several people have done the EJ205 and EJ20G swap, and had a lot of luck with it. Search out Suberdave - he's pretty done it spot on with his EA82 Wagon, and did a beautiful job on it. PM him, he's got a lot of good info and ideas to point you in the right direction. I'd learn how to construct simple sentences first however - makes EVERYONES life easier.

As for the ECU - why do you want to flash and tune it, yet not buy an aftermarket ECU? An aftermarket one would make your wiring hassles a lot easier as they're designed to go into a vehicle from scratch, and have FAR MORE tunability then even a Flashed OEM ECU.

Wiring can be hell, but if you have patience, a lot of spare time, and basic electrical and automotive electrical skills I'm sure its possible. Though if it were me and I had the funds to get an aftermarket ECU, it would be a no-brainer - especially with a performance-based engine like that.

if your engine has a TDO5 it is most likely an EJ20G...

that wiring harness you have posted in your link will do you no good. you will need a EJ20G harness or you if you have some knowledge with wiring you can make a USDM turbo legacy harness work, with a little more wiring you can make an N/A 2.2 lagecy harness work... sounds like you may already have the Stock WRX ECU?

it can be done, i have done it a few times... but its a lot of work.

when you get ready to start, if you have any questions let me know. i will help you with what i can...
