bheinen74
So I gave it a bath tonight, and took some pictures. 109,000 miles, 5mt, NM/Florida car, stock AM/FM/CD has a potato shooter exhaust, and manual boost controller-guage. I bid on this same car, on Ridesafely auction back on 9/15/09, but did not win the auction. Damage was to the front right fender, and headlight. I tracked it dwn, and it had already been fixed and up for sale. I bought it. It does have a tweaked lower passenger control arm still, have that in the classifieds. the front windshield had large in white SUBARU across the top, and it had a tint strip on the front. that stuff is gone already, took a good 1.5 hours to get the goo off from the tint strip. Next up, de-tint the fronts, i don't want to give them a reason to want to pull me over. Also, trying to get the stock 5 star alloys to go back on......but i cant find anyone willing to ship. Final plans, daily driver....for quite some time. its vin number 499, i think that is lucky. Edited April 10, 2010 by bheinen74
2.5_IMP
If I find a set of the stock alloys, I'd be willing to ship. I'd trade you mine for the WRX wheels, but they are trashed. Not much curb rash, but the paint is awful. Is it winestone or mica ruby metallic? I can't tell from the photos. Edited April 19, 2010 by 2.5_IMP Removed photo. The Dude Abides
If that were my car i would put a eibach sport spring kit on it and drop it about 1 1.2 inches. Looks huge up in the air with those wheels but if you droped it a bit it woudl look sick. Find something else to drive in the winter.
bheinen74
A week and 3 days with the car....report. I took a list of the things it was missing or needed: right front control arm slight tweaked driver seat lumbar lever missing washer fluid resevoir cap was cracked radio bass/treble pull knobs cracked, not fully functional correctly missing the dust caps for the front strut towers. This stuff is all done, thanks to my trip to Wrench N Go and Car Country junkyards on Saturday. Pulled off the tweaked control arm, swapped ball joints around, installed. Rest of the stuff is cake stuff. Took to dads shop for a drive over the toe machine....adjustments made and it drives terrifically, steering back to center too. My dogs got their first car ride in it Sunday. Drove it to work today. up next, claybar and wax job.
