biffanyus
I have a 79 brat with the dual headlight set up(one on each side). They only work on high beams but not low. Any suggestions???
Don_Quixpunch
First off, I'd pull the plugs on the bulbs and make sure they have three prongs. If they do, your best option is to use a test light and make sure there's power to low beam prong, if so, you need new bulbs. Failing that, it's a matter of working your way through the wiring back to the switch until you find the broken wire or connection. Good luck. SUBARU3
Could be the stalk on the steering wheel. The contacts are in that assembly. Somtimes they need cleaned, sanded and repositioned.

My thoughts exactly! The other thing to check is the glass fuses. I have had no end of trouble with lights going off over bumps and what not until I started buying better quality fuses from electronics stores. Most places in Australia now only stock cheap, made in China fuses which are basically useless.
Don_Quixpunch
Hey Biff. I'm curious if you got any resolution with your headlight problem.
biffanyus
Hey Biff. I'm curious if you got any resolution with your headlight problem. Thanks for the advice... Well Don... I havent tackled that yet, I have to many other issues first. Lack of power... Windsheild leaking... Clutch.... No plate lights(some rump roast clown cut the wires that lead to them)... ETC ETC... I will post as soon as I get to that.
Don_Quixpunch
Sounds like you've got a winner on your hands. I won't even go into the laundry list of problems my Brat has. For some reason many of these old Soobies seem to have gone through assclown ownership before we get them.
