kaki
May sound like a no brainer...here's the story....recently acquired two 1996 2.2engines. Both are from Automamtic transmission vehicles. One of the engines,I am doing a swap into one of my RX's,the other would like to replace the high mileage engine in my '98 5 speed AWD Legacy wagon. Someone suggested that I would need a flex plate of some sort inorder to hook up onto the manual tranny...kindly advise on what other parts are needed,or is it just a straightforward plug and play deal? Thanks. subaru360
It's a straightforward remove and replace swap. No additional parts needed. Put the manual transmission flywheel on the new engine.
Rooster2
Prolly good idea to replace any clutch components if needed, since you have the clutch exposed.
