solakian
I'm a new owner of a 1994 Loyale Station Wagon. I plan to change out the am/fm/casette radio to a more modern am/fm/cd/mp3 unit. The schematic shows 4 speakers but doesn't identify the location. I can not find where the rear speakers should mount and, if they are installed, they don't work. Does anyone know where the rear speakers are supposed to mount.

Does anyone know where the rear speakers are supposed to mount. I have an 89 DL wagon, and in the DLs there are no speaker cutouts on the rear passenger doors. However there are some lines cutout in the boot kick-panel. I had little luck with those , as their doesn't seem to be any sort of strengthening to bolt the speakers to in the boot door without doing a bit of fabrication - which I couldn't be bothered with. I ended up buying some boxes, and bolting the boxes to the walls just to the rear of the rear seat clips. Seem to be holding alright, just make sure you fasten them properly. tomo
Front door ones, and boxed speekers in the boot work well in my 92 GL wag.

WoodsWagon
They're meant to go in the front lower section of the rear side doors, the wiring is there for them too, they just didn't put the speakers in and the grill in the door panel. However, the speaker wiring is wierd, they share a common ground on each side. You may have to run an extra wire from each front speaker to separate the grounds for the new deck to be happy. Right now you have 6 wires for 4 speakers, most decks want 8 wires.
