mcbrat
if I roll my windows down, I get a distinctive buning smell from the vehicle as I'm driving.. thinking it could be front brakes? it has new calipers, rotors, and pads...
Crazyeights
Could be the front brakes if all of the rust protectant wasn't washed off of the new rotors before they were installed. It usually goes away fairly quickly though.

GeneralDisorder
Since you replaced the calipers - maybe the parking brake cables are too tight causing the pads to drag against the rotor? GD
baccaruda
If this is the Griz, check it all over for leaks, and look for anything fresh on the exhaust. Definitely check the brakes too.. you've done a lot of work to it in a short amount of time; this means you have more to double-check. Oh, and make sure the tires aren't rubbing anywhere such as the undersides of the spring perches. Edited April 23, 2010 by baccaruda
bheinen74
Did you do brakes on more than just the Griz, hard to tell what car you are talking about lol. I think it may be the e-brake cable on the right side... gonna try and lube it up, and see what condition the oneon my 84 parts wagon is.... Jerry DeMoss
it was the ebrake cable on the drivers side that was damaged... replaced with a good one Was it dragging or something? Just wondered if there was a tell tale hot mark?
mcbrat
Was it dragging or something? Just wondered if there was a tell tale hot mark? whne I would release the eBrake handle, the brake would stay on slightly but then loosen up with some driving. The cable was frayed and was dragging inside of the cable sheath. I did not inspect the rotor to see if there were some burn marks....
