brysawn Posted May 23, 2010 Share Posted May 23, 2010 These motors are non-interference motors. So if the timing is not correct, noting terrible happens (meaning no smashed valves/pistons). zyewdall Posted May 23, 2010 Share Posted May 23, 2010 One tooth off would probably make it run with very little power. I did one that was three teeth off on the drivers side, and 180 degrees off on the passenger side (before I learned how to do them properly), and it actually did start.... ran awful, then died and wouldn't restart till I'd fixed the belts.
