chrisgpz
i picked mine up from a local car stereo place, big stupid thing. but it works. others have made their own outta of wood. basically just a spacer. good luck.
TIMBERTIGER
do you remember which store or the make and part number? autozone had one for 5 bucks but they said they didnt have a vendor or something. thanks for the help
GeneralDisorder
They don't make the EA81 versions anymore. They make them for EA82's but you have to do a lot of cutting and really screw with stuff to make them work. A better option is to get one of the newer low-profile decks that doesn't have a CD player - only MP3/USB/ETC and then it will fit much better since they are very shallow like the stock radio. chrisgpz
I got mine from stereo warehouse in seattle, but it was about 2 years ago. http://superstereowarehouse.com/ but like GD said there are some really nice options other than cd player stereos. personally one that has usb sd card and aux input would be more usefull than a cd player. pksjeep
I made my spacer out of a piece of solid plastic. be careful not to go too thick because it could interfere with shifting. I think I ended up with it being 7/16" thick. Paul

TIMBERTIGER
ive been thinking and ive decided a CD player probably isnt the best idea for off road use. hey GD what kind of deck would you recommend. and dont i still need some kind of sleeve or something for the deck to slide into? Ricearu
no prob. It doesn't have TONS of power, but my cheap speakers don't complain about being overpowered and it has a set of RCA's that I have hooked to my 10" and 8" subs
GeneralDisorder
Yeah - not a powerhouse. But it's easier and cleaner to use this deck and a cheap seperate speaker amp than to try and fit a monster deck with a huge built-in amp into the console.
