methusalah Posted May 30, 2010 Share Posted May 30, 2010 It seems the clutch is out but I can't get the car in gear even when it's not running; also, shifter seems very loose - like maybe it's disconnected? The bushings on the shift linkages wearout, things get real sloppy then. Get it up on jackstands and take a look at it. Have someone move the shifter around for you while you're under there.
