The Scooby
i wa wondering how hard is it to take out the gauges? i picked up some red LED's today from a wrecked del-sol from the bone yard and i want to put them in, like i have in my truck, and i had in my camaro. so how hard would it be to pull it out, also i picked up soem new needles for it also. Thanks, Shean
Caboobaroo
it shouldn't be too hard to do, just a few screws and it should come right on out. As for putting different needles in, I'm pretty sure they pop right on off the pegs but the only problem with that is you have to make sure that the guages stay in the same spot or else it could throw off the accuracy of them Also, what year Camaro did you have and how hard was it to put LED's in it? PHATBRAT
Basically, what you want is to put a digital dash in the wagon, right? Anything can be done, You will just have to figure out how/where to splice wires. If this isn't what you're saying then please be a little more specific. I am dumb. The Scooby
ok well i know how to pop off the needles, did it on my 87 firebird i have when i put in custom gauges, and no im not putting in a digital dash, i am taking out the stock white lights and replacing them with red LED's so its brighter for one, and for two its red, rather then white. its not hard to put in LED's, just get the right ones with built in resistors, then soder them in. i had a 83' Z28

SubSandRail
There are two sets of hidden screws (on the wagon, anyway) that you have to find to get the instrument cluster bezel off. Look for small (1/2" tall) plastic pieces in the black vent area of the bezel. Pry them off and the screws are behind them. You may be in luck, and they have fallen out so you can see the screws. Drove me nuts when I replaced my dash, instrument cluster, and bezel. You will probably need to drop the steering column when you put it back together. That was the only way I could fit my hand back there to connect the speedo cable.
