engine/car description might help, but this shoudl be simple.

 

there isn't a rear camshaft seal, so you're probably referring to the rear cam cap? those have an oring underneath. get it from subaru. it's REALLY simple to replace, like you could do it with eyes close. remove two bolts, cap comes off, replace oring, reinstall. other than removing the air intake for easier access there's nothing to it.

If you're talking about the skinny Oring on the back of the passenger side head on a 2.2 a comment or two.

 

The machine fit is CLOSE. They can be a bit of a pain to "walk back in". I'm usually doing it with the engine on a stand. I use assembly lube and after I get it started I usually use the 2 bots to "walk it in".

 

Getting it "walked out" you just need to take your time.

The cam seal on the drivers side is probably not doable on the car without removing a lot of stuff. A large screw driver hammered into the outer case of the seal from above should be able to pry it out, but getting the new one in is the real trick. You need to drive it straight in or else it will warp and leak.

 

And the trick to removing and seating a new O-ring on the passenger side cam cap, twist it back and forth a bit as you push in. Took me 5 minutes to change that one in the car.
